Built circa 1876 by Texas Governor, Francis Lubbock, this charming home is located in the heart of the East End Historic District! Lubbock House has been completely renovated, with original hardwood floors, high ceilings and a fully appointed kitchen including marble counter tops and a subway tile back splash. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs; 2 master bedrooms with king size beds and a third bunk room with 3 sets of XL bunk beds. Downstairs there is a room with a day bed and a trundle bed located underneath, that when raised can be combined to make a king size bed. Everything about the decor of this charming home harkens back to it's historic island roots! The tropically landscaped, private side yard has a comfortable dining area...beckons you for morning coffee and evening margaritas. Rates: 2 week rates available. Monthly rates also available January, February, April, May, September, October, November & December. Please reach out for more details. This home is one block from some of the locals favorite restaurants....including Sunflower Bakery & Cafe, The Original Mexican Cafe, Mosquito Cafe & Pattycakes Bakery. It's across the street from the charming Darragh park, with access for our guests. An easy walk to the historic downtown Strand with many shops and restaurants and the seawall, including Murdoch's & The Pleasure Pier. The East End Historic District (including this home!) is a designated National Historic Landmark and has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1976. The close proximity to restaurants, the beach, island attractions and the historic nature of this home make it the perfect vacation spot!
